Did you ever wonder what Cornet Obolensky means? In fact it is really two first names. Cornet is the name of a noble family of court servants. Obolensky is the name of a Russian royal family. A royal sire, therefore, of this noble foal Caltha Z, which finished fourth at Z-Festival. Also the stallion Cornet Obolensky himself should perhaps meanwhile he declared a true knight. He jumped at the Olympics and his offspring demonstrate that he is a real progenitor. Caltha’s dam Urianne is a daughter of Coriano Z, the horse which Judy Ann Melchior was Belgium junior champion. The further Holsteiner lineage is build up by the stallions Calato and Landgraf I. The same family also produced, amongst others, the stallions Chico’s Boy, Almox Athletico (Ludger Beerbaum), Fiero Van Orti (Dominique Hendrickx) and Le Coup C (Maurice Van Roosbroeck).
